ADTRAN, Inc. recently announced the addition of Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) technology to the Total Access 5000 Ethernet Multi-service Access and Aggregation Platform. The ADTRAN GPON module provides 2.5 Gbps to each optical line terminal (OLT) port, enabling the delivery of advanced, very high bandwidth services such as high definition IPTV
